Joel is a talented wrestler. In addition to being a talented wrestler, Joel has earned a blue belt under Mario Roberto and James Clingerman. He has put that blue belt to use having competed in gi and no-gi grappling events. Joel is also an AFC veteran as well as a Hook and Shoot veteran. Joel stands 5'6" and weights 155 lbs, but he has fought in multiple weight divisions which include heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight, welterweight, and lightweight.

Joel prides himself on having fought some great fighters thru the years and has a burning desire to succeed. He stays on top of the game because he knows there are so many good fighters out there today. He has no illusions about things, and takes it one fight at a time. He loves to make fights exciting, and to keep a high energy pace.
