In high school and college, Rachael was always interested in bodybuilding, but she never knew how to pursue those goals and soon found her life too busy to even go to the gym. Our bodies can change after age 30 and 2 kids, and soon after that Rachael was motivated to get back in a gym. That was January 2003, and a New Year's resolution that was really kept. There she met pro bodybuilder Annie Rivieccio, and the two have been training together ever since.
Rachael started out competing in figure competitions but soon learned that bodybuilding was her thing. She won the Gold's Gym Southern championships and Georgia state championship in 2005. In 2006 she won the Jr USA's. The highlight of 2007 was placing 3rd at the 1st annual Arnold Amature bodybuilding show. In 2008, Rachael is looking to bring trophies back from the Team Universe and Nationals, which are in her hometown of Atlanta.
Rachael doesn't spend all of her time in the gym. She and her husband of 17 years, Jim, have 2 children that keep them running. She and Jim love MMA and go to as many live events as possible. For cardio and to stay lean for competitions, Rachael does cardio kickboxing while her husband and son train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
As she approaches 40 years old, Rachael wants to remind everyone that it is never too late to reach for your goals.
